Been a while since I have updated my blog, mainly because I have been hiking and exploring different sports, instead of running. But this Sunday, I went into the city and decided to run along the Sydney Harbour, as well as checked out the latest swimming spot in the city!

I got to the city at around 12pm, started off at the Crown hotel. Sunday afternoon was gloomy, there were some chill breezes, which makes it the perfect weather for running!
I ran along the Barangaroo Reserve to Marrinawi Cove – the swimming spot that’s only opened early this year. The Cove allows Sydneysiders to swim in the famous harbour’s water. I didn’t dip in the water cause I didn’t want to continue running with drenched clothes. But imagine swimming with the gorgeous Harbour Bridge view, this spot has definitely given the Sydney CBD its character.

Following the coastline, I passed the Harbour Bridge and was brought to the Sydney Opera house. It started drizzling, to be fair, running in light rain wasn’t that bad, it brought down the temperature a touch.

Running up Macquarie Street was tough since it was long and hilly, the traffic lights gave me a good reason to stop and catch my breath. My run finished at Hyde Park, where I went into a gym and did some light conditioning work.

One thing that I always look for in running tracks are toilets. This track has multiple public toilets along the coastline. The Crown Hotel, where I started at, as well as the Opera House, also have bathrooms for their customers.
To conclude, I was happy with the run, mainly because I sweated and felt healthy. But also, the run made my strawberry and mango smoothie afterwards more enjoyable!! So yay! Life is GOOOOOD!
